Run on behalf of the National Association of Care Catering.
Who enters? Nominations are sought from throughout the care sector.
Criteria: Four different categories:
How do the awards work?
Stage one – gaining nominations
The award nomination form is designed, printed and mailed to potential entrants. The competition marketing involves direct mail, PR, telemarketing and email. Sponsors of each category are also sought.
Stage two – Management of nominations
All entries are received by post and email.
They are all data-captured into a database.
Once the deadline date for entries is closed, judging packs are prepared and sent to judges.
Stage three - Judging
All entries are paper judged and three finalists for each category are chosen. The winner is also chosen at this stage.
The finalists are informed and invited to the NACC Gala & Awards Dinner where the winners are announced. This dinner is a black tie event and forms part of the NACC’s national conference & exhibition event (also run by McCullough Moore)
Stage four – the award ceremony
The award ceremony takes place on the evening of the Gala & Awards Dinner.
Each category is announced with each of the three finalists. The sponsor of the award opens ‘the gold envelope’ and announces the winner. A superb trophy and certificate is given to the winner and certificates to the other finalists.
